Hi, we’re Sarge & Red!

Really, our names are John and Dee and we have 2 sassy & adorable kiddos.  We’ve been married since 2005…time flies! 

​So, why begin the ‘About Us’ section of a business store page talking about family?  This started as a means to raise funds for adoption.  What began with selling a few childhood relics (circa 2013) on eBay to raise cash quickly…has grown more than just our family but to its own enterprise.

Sarge & Red’s started with a generous donations of Magic: the Gathering cards from our good friends. These cards sparked fond memories and nostalgia of our youth. Wanting to share this feeling with others we decided to scour the world to find the very best comics, vintage toys, game paraphernalia, and accouterments and offer them to you!

Sarge & red's will be featured on the upcoming season of a toy store near you! It premieres on amazon prime on dec 24, 2023. Each episode of the series tells the story behind a toy store from somewhere across the globe. Brian volk-weiss, ceo of nacelle, is an avid toy enthusiast and pop culture phenom who has created other shows like the toys that made us and the movies that made us (netflix), behind the attraction (disney+), and icons unearthed (vice tv, amazon prime video). He's blended pop culture, toys, small business, and human interest into a fun entertainment experience. We basically shot our own footage for the episode and the professionals have edited together. You'll get a chance to get to know us, how the shop got started, and about some of our favorite toys. We haven't seen our episode yet... And cannot wait to see how it turns out!
